Everyone interested in women’s health issues is invited to join a free High Tea Health discussion offered by Hill Country Memorial in Fredericksburg and Kerrville.
The Fredericksburg event takes place on Tuesday, October 4, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. at Hoffman House, 608 East Creek Street.
The Kerrville event will be held on Tuesday, October 24, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. at the Kerrville Kroc Center, 201 Holdsworth Drive.
HCM women’s health expert Kellie Flood-Shaffer, MD, OB/ GYN, will facilitate and lead discussions at each event while fielding questions on Obstetrics and Gynecology services. Topics will include general women’s health and screenings, treatment options for premenopausal and postmenopausal issues, breast disorders, ovarian dysfunction, and bladder health. Dr. Flood-Shaffer practices with the HCM Medical Group at the Windcrest Medical Office, located at 506 West Windcrest in Fredericksburg.
The High Tea Health evening was designed to provide time to socialize and participate in an interactive discussion about health, according to Jayne Elliott, HCM Business Development and Physician Relations.
“Everyone wants to socialize, be active and focus on improving their health,” Elliott said. “We hope ladies will bring their friends to learn about their health and ask questions from an expert, while enjoying our version of a ‘High Tea,’ with tea, scones, smoked salmon, and other light delights. Dr. Flood-Shaffer will make sure this is a fun, engaging, and informative time together.”
Following a brief formal presentation, participants will be invited to ask questions and join in the discussion. The information is intended for women of all ages.
