I am over covid for the second time. So thankful for the many friends that prayed for me and were concerned. I went to church Sunday, August 21st, via Facebook to The Fathers House. It brought me such joy to think I was sitting with Larry behind Sister Cynthia who was putting it on Facebook. It was another great sermon, Pastor Tom!
Plans are falling in place for me to go to Mexico the second week in September. I will meet with a group from The Fathers House in McAllen, Texas, and go to Mexico to celebrate the anniversary of the Templo Sion church in San Fernando. The pastor, Gabriel Araujo, and his wife, Arrianna, are graduates of the Entrenamiento De Fe School of Evangelism when Larry was the co-director. Pastor Gabriel is the mighty man of God that Larry loved as a son.
I called Joan and put a message on her phone to tell her I was thinking of her because Pecan Capital Trade Days will be this Saturday on the square. Oh how I enjoyed shopping and visiting on Trade Days. I can't do that since I moved to Ohio, but y'all can! They will have something for everyone to buy.
Words to a song being sung on the radio right now is 'there ain't nothin' gonna steal my joy.' The world situations (weather, crime, sickness, death, health, etc.) at this time can certainly try to steal our joy. Oh how we need to be joyful and trust God.
Psalm 23 – The Living Bible ….... 'Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I have everything I need! He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He restores my failing health. He helps me do what honors Him the most. Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way. You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies. You have welcomed me as Your guest; blessings flow! Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with You forever in Your home.'
