The San Saba Rodeo and Livestock Association is honored to present Bill and Linda Sloan as the Grand Marshalls of the 2022 Rodeo Parade.
Bill and Linda Sloan are both lifelong residents of San Saba County. Bill’s great-greatgrandfather came to San Saba County in the spring of 1855. His great-grandfather, T.A. Sloan, started the JT brand driving cattle to Kansas. Bill and his sons still use the JT today.
Linda’s ancestors also came to San Saba County in the 1800s. Her father, Dougal Cameron, ran the lumber yard and built custom homes in and around San Saba from the 1930s to the mid-1970s.
Bill and Linda live on the ranch and are still very active in the cattle business and the community. Growing up here, they have both attended and faithfully supported the San Saba County Rodeo since early childhood. The Rodeo and Parade have always been the highlight of the summer for them and their family. They have occupied the same box since the arena was constructed.
