Donald Wayne Pearce entered his eternal reward Sunday, August 14, 2022. Donald was born September 13, 1945 in Driggs, Arkansas, to GR “Arky” and Alta Pearce. They later moved to Taft, California, where Don was raised. He graduated from high school in 1964. In the fall of 1965, Don was drafted into military service. He served in the Army until 1968, during that year while serving at the Presidio Military Base in San Francisco Don met the love of his life, Jeanette. They married in 1968 and were married for 47 years. Don and Jeanette had two children, David and Stephanie.
Donald graduated from Chico State University with a degree in Industrial Arts and Education. However, in 1984, Don began his true passion and became a Pastor. Donald served as a Pastor at the Wilsonville Assembly of God in Wilsonville, Oregon. Thirty-eight years, seven churches and four states later, Don was serving as the Associate Pastor in San Saba at the First Assembly of God working with his son.
Donald’s life was full and impacted thousands of students and parishioners. His genuine love of people and caring nature were infectious. Don loved God above all else and would share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and display it with every action of his life.
Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette. Don is survived by his sister, Phillis; his brother, Tommy Pearce; his son, David; his daughter, Stephanie; his grandsons: Christopher, Hunter, Macks and Kenneth; his granddaughters: Heather, Grace, Sophie; and great-grandchildren, Kylan and Peyton.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
