“The Shape of Memory” is the name of the Llano Art Guild free exhibit beginning September 10 through November 13. The artist is Marianne Lettieri who creates art out of everyday objects and historical artifacts – materials rich with meanings and metaphonic possibilities that form bridges to her imagination. She has shown in art museums and venues throughout the United States and internationally. For this exhibition, she presents sculptures and textile-based works to examine cultural identity and individual memory.
The exhibit will open at 6:30 p.m., and Lettieri will talk about her art at 7 p.m. on opening night, September 10.
Lettieri will speak at the Llano County Historical Museum on Wednesday, October 5, at 11:00 a.m. And concurrent to the Gallery exhibition, Llano County Main Library will display a selection of her work as part of its community-wide art show.
