MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Cherokee Home for Children was established in 1958 and is located at 13355 Hwy. 16 in the beautiful hill country of Cherokee, Texas.

Cherokee Home for Children is a place for children that are facing challenges and could use a safe, loving, family environment where they can learn lessons of faith, and life skills for success, and where they can be guided for academic success.

Shawn Hull, the Executive Director of Cherokee Home for Children states that they have developed an outstanding transitional program. The program allows the youth to learn the skills that they need to move to young adulthood. He also states that their graduates prepare for a career by attending college, entering the military, or attending trade school thanks to many generous donors. Mr. Hull added that they recently had a young lady graduate from Harding University with both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She is beginning her career in the Metroplex with Deliotte Professional Services.

Cherokee Children’s Home has and continues to impact many children’s lives as they move from hopelessness to success which inspires all of the staff at the Home. The home not only stands

The home not only stands out because of the dedicated staff but because of the generous donations provided by private individuals and churches who love children and help to make it possible for children in crisis to have a Christian home with no charge to the family.
