Addison Eugene Swanson

Addison Eugene Swanson (Swanie) of Cherokee, Texas, was born on January 29, 1932, in Fairfax, Oklahoma, to Joseph Newton Swanson and Maudie Violet Fronkier. Swanie married his wife of 70 years, Deloris Ann Peterson, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on April 5, 1952, where they raised three beautiful daughters. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He was a simple man of few words and was dedicated to his family and his Catholic faith. He served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean war. In 1980, Swanie and Deloris moved to their ranch in Cherokee, Texas, where he spent the rest of his life as a cattle rancher. He was known as Papa to his six grandkids and seven great-grandkids.

Swannie passed away on June 29, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Swanson and Maudie Fronkier; one sister, Jo Celestine Wheile; his daughter, Terrie Celeste Foster; and his wife, Deloris Ann Swanson. Swanie is survived by his daughters: Lorrie Lesser and husband Phil of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Paulie Broyles and husband Robbie of Spring Branch, Texas; grandchildren: Cody Foster and wife Chandra of Round Rock, Texas; Sammie Foster and husband Tito Valentin of Cedar Park, Texas; Ryan Lesser of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jessica Lesser of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Trevor Broyles and wife Caitly of Spring Branch, Texas; and Skye Broyles of Spring Branch, Texas; as well as great-grandchildren: Addison, Sonny, Zen, Jason, Mariah, Alexia, and Kiersten.
