Jackie and Donna Shahan opened Pecan Valley Hardware in 1998. Mr. Shahan has been in some sort of retail most of his life giving him the Customer Service experience that set Pecan Valley Hardware apart from most. Pecan Valley Hardware might be small, but according to the Shahan’s, they are packed wall to wall, and they offer a little bit of everything. And if they do not have it, they can get it for you.
They love doing business in San Saba County because of the people they get to work with and because of the laid-back lifestyle that most enjoy in San Saba. All of the Shahan’s Customers are special to Jackie, but he really enjoys the ones that need a little extra help with a project.
One fun fact about Pecan Valley Hardware is that after being in business for nearly 25 years, most people still think they close at noon on Saturdays. However, that is incorrect! Pecan Valley Hardware is in fact open until 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays giving every one a chance to complete their weekend projects.
