The weather here in Zanesville, Ohio, has been wonderful, being in the 60's and 70's. There are some drizzles and showers off and on today, so I had to juggle the umbrella, mail, poo bag and Ellie's leash after lunch.
In the mail was the March 4th edition of the wonderful San Saba News. I loved the new announcement for Pecan Capital Trade Day March 5th, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the front page. I extend my congratulations to Bill and Pat Grusendorf on their 70 Years together reported on page 4. I had the privilege to be in The San Saba River City Band under Mr. “G's” direction.
I received other news by text over the weekend that my dear friends Charlie and Audrey are in need of prayer. Audrey is scheduled for surgery, and Charlie being tested at the same hospital. I am miles away, but my prayers, love and support are right there with them.
I visited my 90-year-old neighbor yesterday evening........ OH MY! I just saw my umbrella that was drying in an alcove by my porch being lifted and blown away by a strong wind, and it's raining again! I went outside and looked for it down the road to the south entrance of the condos. On the way back, I noticed a pizza box on the bench outside the Community Building across the road from my condo. There was a whole pizza in the box that had a name, address and building number that was across the street that was next to my condo building with our garages facing each other. The building number was correct, but not the number, so on the third door I knocked on, I found the owner. She had called the pizza place, but they did not know why it was not delivered. So they sent another pizza with the correct address.
I went down the driveway between our buildings and looked in the wooded area. There was my mangled umbrella at the bottom of a steep bank. I won't be going down to get it..........During my visit with my neighbor, she told me that a close relative died. So, I am thankful I was there for her to talk about that and share other information.
Grace, mercy and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love....II John 1:3
