Amanda Jackson age 98, of San Saba, Texas, passed away in San Saba, Texas, on September 27, 2021. Amanda was a lifelong resident of San Saba County. She was born on June 9, 1923, to John L. Smith and Kittie A. Galloway. She was a caretaker, homemaker, and loved to cook. Amanda was a longtime member of the Live Oak Club and enjoyed activities sponsored by the club. She took care of many families in San Saba over the years. Amanda’s amazing smile will be missed by all. She was a member of San Saba’s First United Methodist Church and a devout Christian.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children, daughter, Sara Jackson – Watson of Austin, Texas; two sons: Robert and wife Janie Jackson of San Saba, Texas, and Russell Stanfield and wife Francis of Memphis, Tennessee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Jackson; and two sons, Abraham Jackson and Richard Jackson.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in San Saba, Texas, with Reverend John Paul Spurlock officiating. Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in San Saba, Texas. Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas in charge of arrangements.
