I married an ungodly wife!

But I married a good wife. We met when I went to visit my college roommate’s home one weekend. I met his mom and little sister. I visited there several times after that and began to realize his little sister was a really nice girl.

I was around her and her family for a year or so until one day cupid sent an arrow into my heart. Wow, I thought, “this girl is special!” She graduated from high school and came to college, and a year later, we were married.

After a few years and two children, I realized something was missing. A local preacher came to our house one evening, and I realized what was missing. I had never asked Jesus to forgive my sins, and I had never asked Him to be my personal Lord and Savior, (Romans 3:23, John 3:16, 1 Peter 3:18). I did that night, and a few months later my wife accepted Jesus Christ.

Wow, what a change came about in our lives and home, (John 1:12, Proverbs 12:4, 18:22). We got involved in a local church and were both able to grow spiritually. We decided to make our home a Christian home - no alcohol, no tobacco and no profanity.

I have realized over the years how richly God has blessed me. I not only have a good wife, but a wife that loves God. (Psalm 128:3, Proverbs 31:10-31). See you in Church next Sunday.
