Winnie Mae Robertson passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the age of 85 in San Saba, Texas. Mae was born in San Saba, Texas, to Perry Hardin and Winnie Stella (Boynton) on October 4, 1935. Mae was the caretaker of her family and a great cook. She volunteered at the Rylander Library and the museum. Mae cooked the best chicken fried steak, chocolate cake and peach cobbler. She loved her family dearly.
Mae is survived by her two sons: Will and wife Julie Robertson, and Wesley and wife Kathryn all of San Saba, Texas; four grandchildren: Chris Robertson and Ty Robertson of San Saba, Texas, Katelyn Morris and Zach of Austin, Texas, and Will and Kaitlin Robertson of San Saba, Texas. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Perry Hardin and Winnie Stella (Boynton); husband, Joe Robertson; one brother, Frank Hardin; one sister, Genie Christian; and one infant sister, Margaret Helen.
