Minnie Rebecca “Becky” “Mi Mi” Moore

Minnie Rebecca “Becky” “Mi Mi” Moore, 73, passed from this world on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, in Ascension Seton Williamson County Hospital in Round Rock, Texas. Becky was born October 12, 1947, in Lamesa, Texas, to Horace Lee Brunette and Fannie Mar Sceanie Cobb. Becky married the love of her life, Larry Lynn Moore, in O’Donnell, Texas, on August 29, 1969. Becky was fortunate to call two wonderful communities her home, living the majority of her life in O’Donnell, Texas, and then later retiring to San Saba, Texas. During her years in West Texas in the community of O’Donnell, she was active in a variety of activities including serving as a 4-H leader for Lynn County, the Young Homemakers Association, the Terry Twirlers Square Dancing Club, the jeep club, and activities at O’Donnell’s First Baptist Church. Her life in West Texas included cotton farming side-by-side with Larry during his 51 years of farming, working at First National Bank O’Donnell, working at Wells Co-op Gin, and with her friend Susan at Farmers Co-op in Tahoka. When she moved with her husband, Larry, to San Saba to be near her children, a new world of interests opened to her. She became an avid San Saba Armadillo fan and traveled the state to support the Armadillos and her grandchildren in Armadillo activities and came to be known as “everyone’s Mi Mi.” She also became a member of the San Saba Garden Club where she met and enjoyed spending time with a very special group of ladies. Her Esther Sunday school class of San Saba’s First Baptist Church was also very special to her. Some of the things Becky loved to do included traveling to the Canton Trade Days, square dancing, gardening, traveling across the United States with Larry in their RV, and the thing she loved but scared her the most was extreme jeeping with Larry.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Horace Lee Brunette and Sceanie Payne, and son, Tracy Lynn Moore.

Becky is survived by her loving husband, Larry Lynn Moore; daughter Leigh Ann Glaze and husband Scott; Robin Ellis and husband Michael; grandchildren: Kaleigh Ellis and boyfriend Ethan Tuck, Delaney Ellis, Brittany Glaze and boyfriend Justin Blackburn, Kristy Becker and husband Keith, Jenna Moore and fiancé Travis Magee, and Zach Moore; five great grandchildren: Bradyn, Elizabeth, Audrey, Laurelai, and Presli Rae; one sister, Margie Lee Emmerson and her husband Mike; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at San Saba’s First Baptist Church in San Saba, Texas, under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba. A private family burial will be held at the O’Donnell City Cemetery in the near future.

Mi Mi loved flowers, but in lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to the San Saba Garden Club Scholarship Fund or the San Saba Never Surrender Cancer Foundation.

A special thank you goes out to the exceptional staff at Ascension Seton Williamson County and especially the chaplains who gave such wonderful care to our Mi Mi.
