San Saba Track and Field hosts Armadillo Relays

The San Saba High School boys and girls varsity track and field teams had multiple standouts on Thursday, March 25, as the school hosted the annual Armadillo Relays meet.

For the boys’ track events, the Dillos had two runners win their respective events: Stone Sears placed first in the 400-meter dash at 52.02 seconds and Justin Hernandez placed first in the 3,200-meter run at 12:35.12. Reagan Mejia placed third in the 800-meter run at 2:10.97, while Wesley Lacked came in fourth place in the 100-meter dash at 11.50 seconds.

Mejia also won with a mark of 5’8.00” in the high jump, while Sears was the runner-up in the long jump with a great mark of 20’8.00” for second place.

For the girls, Courtnee Cash was victorious in the 100-meter dash at 12.85 seconds and Brighton Adams placed third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:33.83. Cash and Adams placed second and third in the long jump, while Landri Glover placed fourth in the triple jump competition.
