The San Saba High School girls varsity powerlifting team had a solid showing on Thursday, March 18, at the Texas High School Women’s Powerlifting Association 1A/2A State Meet held in Corpus Christi.
In the 97-pound class, Makinzey Saldivar placed fifth with 500 pounds lifted: 190 on the squat, 120 on the bench press, and 190 pounds on the deadlift.
For the 148-pound class, Kynedi Isham placed 10th with 700 pounds lifted: 260 on the squat, 160 on the bench press, and 280 pounds on the deadlift.
With the 220-pound class, Austyn Graham placed sixth with 730 pounds lifted: 300 on the squat, 160 on the bench press, and 270 pounds on the deadlift.
