County Judge’s Update

Body

PLEASE NOTE: We strongly suggest and hope that you will choose the discomfort of wearing a mask when closer than six feet from others, some who might be at great risk. You are not required to wear a mask at all times throughout the county, and you will not be fined or hassled if you do not. (The cities of San Saba and Richland Springs and the businesses in them may require different levels of compliance.)

Throughout the un-incorporated parts of the county, we are simply asking that if you will be closer than six feet from someone that is not a member of your household that you wear a mask if you are able to do so. You will be protecting those that are immune compromised and are threatened by the COVID-19 virus. Most of us will get the virus with few if any serious symptoms. It has been described by many as getting a ‘paper cut,’ but make no mistake, it has the potential to be life threatening to those that have cancer and/or are required to take medications and treatments for other serious illnesses that lower their immune systems.

What I am suggesting and asking is that we turn from the negativism that so permeates our society and look for the remarkable good in the land and times in which we live, that we speak of one another’s virtues more than we speak of one another’s faults, that optimism replace pessimism, and remember that we are our brother’s keeper.

Respectfully, Byron Theodosis
