Mobile home destroyed by fire; cause under investigation

Engulfed in flames is a vacant home located at 7015 Bluffton Street in San Saba. This photo was taken on Friday, May 8th, about 11:50 p.m.

This is the same home where three people were stabbed to death in the early morning hours of Friday, February 21, 2020. A fourth person was critically injured during the incident but was able to escape. She is now slowly recovering from her injuries. A suspect, 22-year-old Anthony Wayne Pierce, is in custody at Mills County Jail on charges for Aggravated Assault to a Public Servant and Evading Arrest/ Detention with a Vehicle. Police Chief Ray Riggs stated “there was no evidence left in that home before the fire. . . but we need to find out who started it.”
