San Saba County Friends of Animals would like to recognize two very special volunteers, Gary and Mae.
From building enrichment toys and ramps for our dogs, providing much-needed shade for our animals, assembling cat condos, and tackling countless projects around the shelter, they are always ready to lend a helping hand. Standing out in the hot heat collecting donations on July 4th, buying baskets of dogs toys for our pups, to donating a free night stay at their bread and breakfast for volunteers. No matter what needs to be done, Gary and Mae step up without hesitation.
Mae is also the talented artist behind the beautiful mural on our building, creating something that welcomes everyone who visits and reflects the love we have for the animals in our care.
We truly don’t know what we would do without these two. Their generosity, hard work, creativity, and dedication have helped make our shelter a better place for both our animals and our volunteers.
