With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the sudden passing of Amy Nan Schneider, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, bonus mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Amy Nan Schneider, 63, of San Saba, Texas, passed away on Monday June 8th, 2026, in San Saba. Amy was born in San Saba on January 22, 1963, to Richard and Floydene Harkey.
Amy's life was defined by her love for family, her generous heart, and the joy she found in caring for others. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, making cookies for the holidays, and she loved her family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren. She created a home filled with love and warmth.
As a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Amy's greatest joy was her family. She celebrated their accomplishments, comforted them through challenges, and created countless memories that will be treasured forever. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the love she shared, the traditions she passed down, and the family she nurtured so faithfully.
Amy was preceded in death by her father, Richard Harkey. She leaves behind her mother, Floydene Harkey; her two sisters, Pam Casco and Sheryl Jensen; her husband, Ernest Schneider; children: Dayna Steger and Dustin, Richard Schneider and Angela, Brandi Tinney and Trey, Yancy Schneider and Kate, and Elaine Schneider. May we remember her whenever we see a red rose in bloom, gather around a family table, or enjoy a homemade meal made with love. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
