Dear Richland Springs ISD Parents and Community Members,
As principal of Richland Springs ISD, I want to personally address recent conversations regarding staffing changes within our district. Due to budget challenges, we have implemented a reduction in force and made several difficult staffing decisions. These actions were taken locally and proactively to ensure the long-term financial stability of our school.
While these decisions were not easy, they have positioned our district in the strongest financial condition we have experienced in several years. Moving forward, we are secure, stable, and focused on continuing to provide an excellent education for our students.
I am incredibly proud of our teachers and staff. They are dedicated professionals who care deeply about our students and their success. Every member of our team is fully committed to ensuring that all students continue to receive high-quality instruction and the support they need to be successful in their future endeavors.
I also want to clearly address rumors: our school is not closing, and the Texas Education Agency is not taking over the district. These claims are simply not true. The steps taken were responsible, local decisions made to protect the future of our school and community.
Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and Richland Springs ISD. My door is always open for any questions regarding the safety, security, and success of our students and the school.
Sincerely, Roger Roesler, Principal Richland Springs ISD
