With the New Year firmly upon us, we move closer to the March Primary Election and our local, state and federal races. Many of us made New Year's resolutions, and like me, many of those resolutions may already be broken. But one resolution I hope we all made and keep is to Vote Early during the March Primary.
The Early Voting time period is expanded again this year and offers all voters an opportunity to go to the County Courthouse and vote with little to no wait, plenty of time to read over the ballot (including Propositions), and no worries about missing out on Election Day due to a change in your schedule.
Every vote cast during Early Voting means an easier, less stressful experience for both voters and election workers on the actual Election Day. The Early Voting election team is very experienced and will make sure your time is well spent.
Our San Saba Rotary is, once again, sponsoring a Candidate Forum, giving local, state and even federal candidates the opportunity to meet San Saba voters, introduce themselves and provide some of their viewpoints, policies, and beliefs so voters can make more informed choices during the Primary Election.
It will be held on Tuesday, February 3rd, from 6-8 p.m. at the San Saba High School cafeteria. Please plan to attend this worthwhile event.
Additionally, for those so inclined, there is a Candidate Symposium on January 29th at 1-3 p.m. in Llano at the Sandstone Mountain Ranch featuring Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick andAttorney General Ken Paxton amongst others. This is another great opportunity to enjoy meeting many candidates in a great setting near to us.
Remember, we have three very competitive races here in San Saba with County Commissioner Precincts 2 and 4, and County Treasurer. All of these candidates need your vote! Vote Early!
