Receipts totaled 2,752 head on a choice offering of cattle. The demand and activity was very good even with the futures board and fat cattle all trading lower the last 3 days. Stocker steers were $5-$20 higher with 11 steers 527 lbs at $430.00 ($2266.10), and stocker heifers were steady to $10 higher with 10 heifers 550 lbs at $370.00 ($2035.00) and 3 heifers 640 lbs at $355.00 ($2272.00). The feeder steers were steady with 6 steers 885 lbs at $318.00 ($2814.30), and the feeder heifers were $10-$18 higher. Packer cows and bulls were steady. Pairs and bred cows were steady on a limited test. The Knox Brothers 22 Angus bulls avg $8011 with the top bull at $9000 and the 3 Hereford bulls avg $7625. The Cannon Ranch 31 Charolais bulls avg $8395 with the top bull selling for $10500.
