The Pierian Study Club had a large attendance for the October meeting themed Joy in Every Square. The ladies gathered at San Saba Rehab to play bingo with the residents. The residents appeared to love having the company of the ladies. Celia Bell called the letters for the game. It happens that there are three honorary members of the club residing at the facility. They are Millie Burnham, Linda Sloan & Jane Randolph.
After all the fun was over, there was a business meeting. There were twenty-one members present as well as nine associate members. Next month’s meeting will be at Celia Bell’s home featuring a guest speaker. It will also be time to select angels from The Angle Tree. Also it was announced that the December meeting will be in the home of Martha Leigh Whitten for a Christmas Tea. Members are asked to bring an unwrapped coffee cup for exchange as well as The Angel Tree gifts.
