The ladies of the Pierian Study Club held the first meeting of the new year on Thursday, September 11. The theme of the meeting was “Hats off to New Beginnings” and lots of the ladies wore their favorite hats for the occasion.
We met under the shade trees at Fiesta Winery at Bend. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of miniature quiche, chicken salad sandwiches, fresh fruit, and an assortment of scones and cookies.
President Cissy Williams welcomed everyone back after a summer break and held the business meeting. Vice President Audrey Smith went over the new year book and gave a summary of each monthly meeting. We are going to have a fun and interesting year.
The next meeting will be October 9, at the San Saba Rehabilitation Center with fun games with the residents there. Hope to see you all next month!
