TxDOT's contractor will seal coat US 190, from FM 45 to the Lampasas County Line Tuesday and Wednesday.
Beginning approximately 10:30 a.m. today, August 12, crews will work to seal US 190 through the city of San Saba. Work will start east of Mill Pond and work west through the city. This section of the work will take a few hours or more. During this time, motorists are asked to refrain from parking on US 190, so that seal coat can be applied to the entire roadway, including shoulders and parking spaces. After the town section, work will continue west to FM 45 the remainder of Tuesday and into Wednesday.
When driving US 190, from the Lampasas County Line to FM 45 on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 12-13, please use caution and patience, watch for the work convoy and allow them plenty of room to work, do not crowd equipment.
During this time, drivers should keep an eye out for the work convoy, and give them plenty of room to work. Please remember not to park on US 190, to ensure crews can seal coat the entire roadway and shoulders including parking.
