So Many, So Much

I am writing an article that I do not have all the answers to. Our lives and our environment can be turned upside down in a heartbeat. We want stability, predictability and no surprises.

The recent floods in Texas that killed so many and were so devastating, it is heartbreaking. We have no assurance of anything and never know when disaster can strike.

I know many lives have been lost and the destruction, losses of homes and businesses. What can I, or we, do?

Many organizations, Churches, businesses and untold numbers of people have gone and tried to help. While many others have donated different things or given money.

Yes, we can do that, but most importantly we can pray.

I know of Churches or groups having special prayer times and so many individuals praying.

When God created everything, (Genesis 1:1-31), it was supposed to work beautifully; man was supposed to live forever and not suffer or die physically.

But because Adam and Eve disobeyed, sin entered the world, and everything went to pot, (Genesis 3:8-19).

We live in a dying unstable world headed for destruction, and man is headed for a day of accountability and judgement.

Hebrews 9:27 And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,...

Let us make sure we know Jesus Christ as Savior and try to live for Him.

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

Romans 5:8, 10 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Thank Him, if you are not having difficulties, and by all means pray for those that are.

James 5:13-14 Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.). See you in Church next Sunday.
