I have totally neglected my reporter duties lately, and I apologize for this. Let's catch up on the news!
Our January meeting was canceled due to inclement weather. That was a disappointment, but old man winter wasn't being nice the day of our meeting.
Our February meeting was held in the home of Audrey Smith. Angie Chandler gave an update on the happenings of the Dove Project. She thanked us for being a loyal supporter. Brooke Bagley is director of the group Young Life and she explained what this wonderful group is all about and what a blessing it has been to her to be a part of it. This program has reached many of our local youth and continues to grow. The hostesses were Janis Murray, Karen Gill, Anna Wilson and Ann McElroy. They had a beautiful spread of savory and sweet goodies. All of our hostesses always do a fantastic job.
The meeting for March was in the Catholic Church Fellowship Hall with a theme 'What's Cookin.' The hostesses each cooked a dish that was dear to their heart or was a favorite of their family. They each shared the recipe and told us a little about why they chose the recipe. The hostesses were Audrey Smith, Catherine Hanrahan, Marjean Alexander, Maela Edmondson, Kay Stowell and Julie Edgerton.
