Receipts totaled 2,111 head for the week. The market continued to be very active with good demand again this week. The stocker steers were steady after last week’s increases with 2 steers 503 lbs $400.00 ($2012.00) and 10 steers 624 lbs $330.00 ($2059.20). The stocker heifers were $2-$5 higher with 20 heifers 505 lbs $338.00 ($1706.90). The feeder steers were $6-$10 higher with 5 steers 710 lbs $314.00 ($2229.40). The feeder heifers were $7-$10 higher. The packer cows were $1-$3 higher, and packer bulls were $2-$3 higher. Pairs and bred cows were steady. The 21st Annual Cattleman’s Kind Simmental & SimAngus bulls were in strong demand with the 20 Mallett averaging $7613.00 and the 17 -B Simmentals averaging $5809.00.
