“A Night at the Museum” is this Saturday!

The 8th annual “A Night at the Museum” is almost here, and the weather has warmed up for our Celebration of Texas Independence.

On the afternoon of Saturday, March 1st, the street between the Museum and Gazebo will be closed to traffic. Parking will be available to the north and south of the event. City of San Saba personnel will provide rides from the distant parking areas.

At the ticket tent, you will receive a program listing the times of the various presentations which will all be given in our Honors room which will be comfortable this year. Ross Cox will talk about Edgar T. Neal at 4;15 and 5:15. Jefferson Stencil will tell us about Heywood Lane Edwards at 4:45 and 5:45.

Kay Lynn Scott’s students will begin performing at 4:30 and then the band at 5:30. Dinner will begin being served around 5:00.

Family activities will be happening all afternoon in front of the museum, including games and face painting. Around every corner there will be San Saba County and Texas history to explore.
