Billy Ralph Hardy

Billy Ralph Hardy, also know as (Punk), 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at San Saba rehabilitation nursing home. He was born August, 22, 1941, in San Saba, Texas, to W. Bailey Hardy and Edna May Winn. He was a 1959 graduate of San Saba High School. He married Shirley C. Hardy on August 11, 1989, in Brownwood,Texas. He worked at GTE as a lineman for five years, then moved on to being a construction supervisor for the remaining time of his life until he retired in 1992. Bill led so many crews in his life and molded them into who he wanted them to be just to lead them to success. Bill’s favorite hobbies were ranching, fishing, hunting and spending time working; making a living was something he and his loving wife worked hard at. Bill was one man who always found a way to solve a hard problem as the rest of us scratched our heads. I can say we are all lucky to have had such a great man in our lives and in all of our hearts. Although we are filled with heavy sorrow and emptiness without Bill, life will not be the same and he will be truly missed. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; a son, Charlie Hardy; a daughter-in-law, Blanca Hardy; a grandson, Taylor Hardy; step-children: Cynthia L. Wagner, Joy D. Yonnie, and Nathan L. Allen Jr.; a step-grandson who he raised for 13 years, John R. Montellano; another grandson, Christopher C. Wagner; a brother, Bobby Jean(Pete) Hardy; sister-in-law, Marsha Hardy; a sister, Shirley Perry; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Family friends, and others whose lives Bill touched are went to Harris Cemetery in San Saba, Texas, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, to reminisce, grieve, support and gather to chat about old times.

Bill is preceded in death by his mother and father, W. Baily and Edna May Hardy; brother-in-law, Billy Mack Perry.
