Receipts totaled 4,112 head. The market started the week on a steady basis, but as the week moved forward, the futures board moved $6-$8 lower due to tariffs, a new type of avian bird flu detected, and other issues affecting the economy. The market is still strong since we have moved upward in the last several months $30-$60 cwt on many classes of cattle. The light weight stocker steers under 400 lbs were $10-$15, lower and the medium to heavy weight stocker steers selling steady to $10 lower after last weeks $10-$15 increase with 6 steers 397 lbs at $400.00 ($1588.00) and 6 steers 558 lbs at $328.00 ($1830.24). The stocker heifers were $5-$15 lower with 19 heifers 546 lbs at $298.00 ($1627.08). The feeder steers were steady with 6 steers 639 lbs at $324.00 ($2070.36) and 4 steers 779 lbs at $282.00 ($2196.78). The feeder heifers were steady to $2 lower with 4 heifers 751 lbs at $261.00 ($1960.11). The packer cows were steady, and packer bulls were $3-$4 higher. Pairs and bred cows were steady on a limited test.
