Central Texas Electric Cooperative is proud to announce its 2025 Scholarship Program, designed to support local students in achieving their educational and career aspirations. This year, CTEC is offering 25 scholarships, each valued at $4,000, to eligible students within its service area.
New Structure For 2025
For the first time, the program has been expanded to include two types of scholarships:
• CTEC Academic Scholarship: 15 scholarships available to students pursuing a traditional college education.
• CTEC Skilled Trades Scholarship: 10 scholarships designated for students attending accredited Texas technical schools.
This new structure reflects CTEC’s commitment to supporting both academic and vocational pathways, empowering the next generation of professionals and skilled tradespeople.
Application Details
Applications are now available at all CTEC offices and can be downloaded from the co-op’s website at ctec.coop. Completed applications must be submitted to the Fredericksburg CTEC office no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025. Eligibility Requirements:
• Applicants must be active CTEC members or immediate family members whose primary residence is served by CTEC.
• A clear degree plan and commitment to higher education or technical training is required.
• Two letters of recommendation from teachers, principals, counselors, employers, or community leaders must accompany the application.
• Recipients must be full-time students at a recognized Texas institution or an accredited Texas technical school.
