On Thursday, November 14, a beautiful fall afternoon, 33 ladies of the Pierian Study Club met at the Pecan House Grill for their monthly meeting. The theme of the day was 'Elegance Reimagined: Holiday Party Fashion for Timeless Beauties.'
First the ladies helped themselves to an array of finger foods provided by hostesses Jacqueline Carlson, Sandy Smith, Donna Baxter, Gail Bruner and Laina Murray. Then the K. Ellis Boutique, owned by Kayla Ellis, and Sings My Soule, owned by Talor Helberg, presented a style show, showing off their fun holiday and every day styles. The models were Cissy Williams, Celia Bell, Donna Baxter, Brooke Bagley, Audrey Smith and Anita Adams.
Anita performed a short skit about forgetfulness in older age and had everyone chuckling in their seats.
There was a Christmas tree on display with ornaments from Angels Unaware. The ladies selected an angel to provide gifts for a needy child from the community. This is one of the annual projects that the club participates in.
The December meeting will be Thursday, December 12, at the home of Dean and Alita Bagley. You are asked to bring an unwrapped ornament for a gift exchange. Look forward to seeing you ladies there!
