On Sunday evening, November 24th, I attended and enjoyed the 33rd Annual Zanesville Handbell Festival. Handbell choirs from six churches were directed by Brent Lawrence, a composer, performer, and conductor from western North Carolina. When I arrived at this event, I got out of the car, looked down at my feet and realized I had my slippers on instead of shoes! I laughed and told my friends I was going to 'slip' into the concert with them :).
On November 21st, I got a card and note from Marsha Childress. On the front was 'There should be curbside delivery for things like PEACE, HEALING AND HUGS.' I certainly needed her kind and loving words on the inside of the card because November 22nd was my husband Larry's homegoing (19402020) and Marsha's husband Jim's birthday in heaven. It was comforting and helpful to get Marsha's card. I put on Facebook information about November 22, and was comforted with love and support.
The Word For Today heading on November 20th was: 'Be Grateful For Your Blessings.'
The last paragraph read: 'Have you been saying “I'll be happy when...?” Happiness does not come from getting what you want, it comes from appreciating what God has given you!' Ephesians 5:20...NIV...Give thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
