Lupe Flores, 78, passed away October 23, 2024. Lupe was born on April 4, 1946, to Leopoldo Jimenez, Jr. and Augustina C. Jimenez. She married in 1961 and then became a widow in 1965, then remarried in 1968. Growing up, she loved to cook; she loved reading romance novels and Readers Digest. She was a cook at many restaurants in San Saba; she also worked as a nurse's aid for 36 years. She loved when all her girls would get together to make tamales. Lupe enjoyed going to watch sports games; she liked baseball and football. Lupe was a migrant worker in her younger years. She loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and siblings very much.
Lupe is survived by her children: Joe Henry Ramirez of Richland Springs, Victor and Sallie Ramirez of North Richland Hills, Lucinda Huron of Richland Springs, Esperanza Flores of Brownwood, Elisa and Jimmy Garza of Abilene, Marjarita and Spencer Carlisle of San Saba, Gilberto Flores, Sr. of San Saba, Juan Pablo Flores and Rena Flores of San Saba.
She had a total of 12 siblings, seven brothers and five sisters. She has 22 grandchildren: Mathew, Aaron, Joehanna, Victor, Jr., Izabella, Ruben, Isabella, Brooks, Cody, Shea, Erik, Julie, Jimmy, Jr., Mattea, Zander, Colt, Tori, Atrel, James, Matthew, Autumn, Azerleigh and Jensen. She had nine greatgrandchildren: Mathew, Jr., Angela, Marley, Jailey, Jordann, Erik, Jr., Maverick, July and Alayne.
Lupe is preceded in death by her parents, Leopoldo and Augustina Jimenez; sister, Tino; brother, Andrew; and grandchildren, Joe Ruben and Little Cindy.
Pallbearers will be: Brooks Huron III, Cody Huron, Erik Cisneroz, Jimmy C. Garza, Fr., Colt Carlisle, Matthew Flores, Juan Pablo Flores, and Jensen Flores.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mathew Ramirez, Aaron Ramirez, James Carlisle, Victor Ramirez, Jr., and Ruben A. Ramirez.
Funeral Services were held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in San Saba, Texas.
