October is nearly over, and by the time you read this, Early Voting will almost be over as well. But the good news is you have until 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 1st, to cast your ballot before Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th.
I encourage all voters to take advantage of Early Voting and make sure your vote is in and counted.
To date, we are seeing record numbers of voters coming out in San Saba County to vote early, and that is the same story in many of our surrounding counties. Many thanks to all those who were able to vote early.
For those voting on Election Day, please check your Precinct Number so you can vote in the correct Polling Location.
Polling Location list:
Precinct 1, Precinct 2B, and Precinct 3B will vote at the First Baptist Church in San Saba.
Precincts 4A and 4B (all Precinct 4 voters) vote on the First Floor on the south side of the County Courthouse in the Historical Commission office.
This was done (as we did in the Primary) to ease the lines at the First Baptist Church and comply more fully with state election laws.
Precinct 2A voters go to the Richland Springs Volunteer Fire Station.
Precinct 3A voters go to the Cherokee Church of Christ.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you are outside but in line at 7 p.m., you will be allowed to vote - even if you get to the check-in station after 7 p.m.
Please do not try to vote at a location other than your designated location as you will be turned away. We do not have county-wide voting in San Saba County so you must go to only the location designated for your Precinct.
Lastly, please remember to vote a full ballot, especially all contested races, as each vote is critical to ensuring a candidate's victory.
