One of the neatest things the founders and crafters of our county did was design our government to be for and by the people. That means we have a say in who our leaders will be.
Very shortly we will be faced again with the decision of which candidates or party to vote for. We should not vote for someone just because of their popularity, financial status, good looks or race.
Christians should carefully pray and even fast for God’s will to be done.
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Also, pray that God would raise up good leaders and give us insight into which one we should vote for.
Acts 13:2-3 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.
Acts 14:23 And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.

A question we could ask is who will or most likely protect or support Christian values?
We do not want the government in the Church or the Church in the government. But we do need freedom of religion. That does not mean it will be forced on others, but we have the freedom to worship the God of our choice or to have no God at all.
I cannot wait to vote - not because of the candidates, but because it is our privilege and freedom that our forefathers fought and died for.
I would encourage all to go vote! Remember Christians are to pray for our leaders whether we approve of them or not.
