This past Friday, October 11th, Shared Blessings celebrated their one year anniversary since a big renovation and reopening last October.
Shared Blessings has a deep history in the community of San Saba originally being known as the “Agape House.” Since its beginning, and still true today, the mission of this local thrift store is to be a blessing to the community of San Saba.
Through the generous donations of people like you, Shared Blessings is not only able to keep its doors open, it is able to help meet various needs of local citizens. Examples of how funds are used to assist residents of San Saba and surrounding areas include: groceries, school supplies, utility bills, Christmas for kids, and the list goes on. When you give to this ministry, either by shopping or donating, not only are you helping meet needs of local citizens, you are also giving to help spread the Gospel around the world.
This local non-profit is owned and operated by The Father’s House church here in San Saba. Although supported by The Father’s House, no profits go to The Father’s House.
Shared Blessings accepts donations such as clothing, housewares, linens, toys, and more! Unfortunately, they are unable to accept furniture, large appliances, or mattresses. There are two dropboxes located behind the building. One is open during business hours, and the other “blue” dropbox is open 24/7 for donations.
If you have yet to stop in, you are encouraged and welcome to! The “home-like” atmosphere gives the “boutique feel” at thrift store prices! You are sure to find something you “just can’t live without.”
Shared Blessings is located at 607 S. Cherokee St. (behind the post office) and hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9-5 and most Saturdays 10-3.
