Mabel Susan Edmondson

Mabel Susan Edmondson, age 99, of San Saba, transitioned peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2024. A graveside service was held Thursday, September 12, 2024, at San Saba Cemetery in San Saba, Texas. Mabel was born December 6, 1924, to Alvena S. Wallace and Grover C. Wallace in San Saba, Texas. Mabel was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She dedicated much of her life to caring for others as a nursing assistant, where her compassion and selflessness touched many lives. Mabel was a talented quilter, having spent countless hours over the years creating beautiful, hand-sewn quilts. These quilts, cherished by her grandchildren and many others, were a testament to her love, patience, and dedication. Each of her grandchildren was blessed to receive one of her handmade quilts, a keepsake to remember her warmth and care. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends but will forever remain in their hearts through her kindness and wisdom. Mabel is survived by one son, Louis Eugene Edmondson; two daughters: Ollie Jo Edmondson and Henrietta Ray; six grandchildren: Martin David Edmondson, Richard Edmondson, Jeanette Tyson, Louis Eugene Edmondson II, Tammy Edmondson, Nathan Bush, Erick Bush, Gina Bush, and John Michael Lewis; as well as her many great-grandchildren children, and dear friends.
