What's going on?

Today there are so many bad things going on in the world, it is scary. Everyday there are wars and more rumors of more war, and everybody building more and more destructive arms. Bigger battleships, bigger bombers, more powerful missiles. Why not grow food and seek peace?

What does the Bible say is going to happen?

Jesus taught about signs of the end times; it was not going to get better, but worse.

Matthew 24:3 & 21 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (21) For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.

It also teaches there will be one final big monster battle between evil forces and good forces.

The evil forces will be the devil, the anti-Christ, the false prophet, the fallen angels and all evil forces.

The good forces will be Jesus Christ, His angels and His Bride, The Church, all who have repented of their sins and called upon Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,...

Titus 2:13 ... waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,...

Jesus Christ wins the battle and is declared the victor once and for all. There will be no more battles. The anti-Christ and false prophet will be cast into the lake of fire and the Devil bound for a thousand years and eventually judged and cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:2-3 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while.

If we have never accepted Jesus Christ, we are not on the winning team. It is not too late to make Him your Lord and Savior.

John 1:12-13 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

See you in Church next Sunday.
