Lance Newby was born on January 6, 1967 in San Saba, Texas to L.A. Newby and Annette Hubbert Newby.
Lance attended Richland Springs school district where he graduated in 1985. He went on to attend TSTI where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering in 1989. Lance retired from 3M in Brownwood after working there for thirty years. As a former Richland Springs graduate, Lance never let his love for the Coyotes falter. Lance will be remembered by his family as a loving father, brother and uncle.
Lance is survived by his son Dusty Newby of Smithville; brother Aleck Newby and wife Gwen of Richland Springs; niece Tiffnie Lotts and husband Adam of Houston; and nephew Chance Brantner of Holland.
Lance is preceded in death by his parents. The service was graveside 2:00p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the Richland Springs Cemetery in Richland Springs, Texas and was officiated by Pastor Barry Fikes.
