Fidel Paredez

Fidel Paredez, 78, of Kempner, was laid to rest at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mr. Paredez died October 23, 2023.

Aside from family, one of Fidel's proudest accomplishments was his military career. He served in the United StatesArmy for over 20 years, rising through the ranks to become a Master sergeant. During his service, Fidel received numerous medals and honors for his dedication and commitment to his country.

His list of accolades included the Army Service Ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Overseas Service ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, NCO Professional Development ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Meritorious Service Medal.

While we mourn the loss of Fidel Paredez, let us also celebrate the vibrant life he led. May his memory serve as an inspiration to us all to live with dedication, courage, and a sense of humor. Fidel's warm heart, unwavering loyalty, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends will forever be missed but never forgotten.

Mr. Paredez was preceded in death by his parents, Ernesto and Herminia Paredez; and brothers Abel Paredez and Salvador Paredez.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; children Fidel Jr., Fidel H., and Linda Sue; sister Beatriz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
