Armadillo J.V. Football Report: 46-0
The San Saba J.V. Dillos pitched a shutout on defense while rolling up 46 points on offense to defeat the Bangs Dragons 46-0 last Thursday night at Rogan Field.
Bangs kicked to San Saba to begin the game. Graden Lebow ran for 35 yards. Luke Thorpe gained 3, Lebow 5, Thorpe 3, Kaylub Roberts 8 and 3. Lebow gained 3 to the Dragon 3. Thorpe ran it in for the first Dillo score. Jason Everett ran in the P.A.T. 8-0 Dillos.
San Saba kicked an onside recovered by Thorpe. Lebow gained 8, Thorpe 5, Everett 2, Roberts 2, Thorpe 7, Lebow 3. Everett ran in from the 3-yard line. Everett ran in for the extra points. 16-0 Dillos.
San Saba kicked to Bangs. Defensive play by Graden Lebow, Jason Everett, Preston Gray, Adrian Perez, Luke Thorpe, Kaylub Roberts ,Chris Vega, Brandon Gonzalez, and Rodrigo Macedo slowed the Dragon attack.
The second quarter began with Kaylub Roberts batting down a Dragon pass. Graden Lebow intercepted a Bangs pass to give the ball back to San Saba. Everett ran for 5, Thorpe 3 and 8, Everett 3, Thorpe 3,10, and 8, Lebow 8, Roberts 5, Lebow 5 and 7, Everett 7, Thorpe 2, and Everett ran for a 20-yard touchdown. The P.A.T. failed.
Great blocks by Martin Macias, Carson Murphy, Luke Thorpe, Dillon Kraft, Jose Vega, Anthony Garcia, Jack Stewardson, Omar Landeros, and Danny English allowed for a great scoring drive. 22-0 Dillos.
San Saba kicked to Bangs. Good defense by English, Vega, Garcia, Aguirre, Gray, Lebow, Everett, Thorpe, Rodolfo Valdez, Keagan Salinas, Ulices Mendoza and Perez stifled the Dragons. Kaylub Roberts caused a fumble and stopped a reverse try. Jason Everett sacked the Dragon quarterback. San Saba took over. Graden Lebow caught a pass for 5. Danny English gained 10 on a reception. The drive was stopped by an interception. The half ended 22-0 Dillos.

Good defense was played by Adrian Perez and Jason Everett. Bangs made a first down. Jayden Aguirre knocked down a Bangs pass. Jack Stewardson tackled a receiver on a swing pass. Graden Lebow and Jayden Aguirre stopped the Bangs drive on 4th down. The Dillo offense rolled as Lebow ran for 7, Everett 2, and 8, Thorpe 4 before scampering 45 yards to another Dillo touchdown. A pass from Thorpe to Everett got two more points. 30-0 Dillos. Good blocking is credited to Anthony Garcia, Jose Vega, Landeros, English, Murphy, and Garcia.
San Saba kicked to Bangs. Jose Vega caused a Dragon fumble. The Dillo offense clicked as Everett ran for 3 before rambling 60 yards to a touchdown behind the blocking of Murphy, English, Macias, Landeros and Gray. A pass from Thorpe to Gray netted two more points. 38-0 Dillos. San Saba kicked to Bangs. Diego Gil Vega and Adrian Perez made a good tackle. Roberts tacked the Dragon runner for a loss.
Ulices Mendoza, Gil Vega, English, Everett, Aguirre, Valdez and Garcia battled on defense. The fourth quarter found Adrian Perez sacking the Dragon quarterback. Lebow and Garcia stopped Bangs on fourth down. Everett ran for 20 rubbed out by a penalty. Everett got it back on a 25-yard run. Lebow gained 3, 12, and 5, Thorpe 5 before Preston Gray scored from 15 yards out on a pass from Thorpe. Thorpe ran in the extra point try to end the scoring at 46-0. Jose Vega covered the ensuing kick. Kaylub Roberts ran for 12, 5, 3, and 2. Bangs got the ball back for a couple of plays before the game ended.
