San Saba J.V. Dillos Defeat Johnson City 38-6

The Dillo J.V. Dillos led by an outstanding performance by the offensive and defensive line dominated the Johnson City Eagles by a score of 38-6 last Thursday evening.

Johnson City kicked to San Saba. Runs by Luke Tharp and Graden Lebow consistently moved the ball. Kaylub Roberts, Jose Vega, Omar Landeros, Martin Macias, Dawson Crawford, Adam Matthews, Ryan Lemaster, Jack Stewardson, and Danny English rolled up the Eagle Defense. Luke Tharp ran in the first Dillo score from 15 yards out. The P.A.T. failed. 6-0 Dillos San Saba kicked to the Eagles. Johnson City ran two plays and fumbled. Jayden Aguirre covered the fumble. The Dillo offense took over near mid field. Runs by Tharp and Lebow gained a first down. Graden Lebow broke loose for a 30-yard touchdown scamper. The P.A.T. failed. 12-0 Dillos.

San Saba onside kicked, and Kalub Roberts fell on the loose football. San Saba moved the ball on runs by Preston Gray and Lebow. Jason Everett sneaked the ball in for a touchdown. Dawson’s kick was good. 19-0 Dillos.

San Saba kicked to Johnson City. The Dillo Defense played well. Diego Gil, Vega, Anthony Garcia, Andres Davilla, Rodolfo Valdez, Carson Murphy, Jose Vega, Jonathan Garcia, Keagan Salinas, Ulices Mendoza, Martin Macias, Adrian Bumgardener, Ryton Morgan, Brandon Gonzalez, and Rodrigo Macedo turned in good defense. The Defense forced a fumble covered by Luke Tharp. The offense took over, and Tharp scored from 25 yards. The P.A.T. try was blocked. 25-0 at halftime.

San Saba kicked to Johnson City to begin the second half. Kaylub Roberts, Jose Vega, Danny English, and Graden Lebow had sacks on the Eagle quarterback.

The Dillo offense moved the ball on a pass from Thorpe to Everett. Everett made a great run for another Dillo score. Dawson’s kick was good. 32-0 Dillos.

San Saba kicked to Johnson City. The Dillo Defense held and forced an Eagle punt. Jason Everett had a good punt return. Luke Thorpe scored on a 30-yard run. The P.A.T. attempt failed. 38-0 Dillos.

Johnson City scored late in the fourth Quarter; that score was set up by a pass. The extra point try failed ending the score 38-6 Dillos.
