The St. John Lutheran Community Association of Crabapple, Texas (Gillespie County) will hold its Annual Business Meeting on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the historic Crabapple School, located at 14671 Lower Crabapple Rd.
Discussion of the Annual Homecoming Worship service planned for Sunday, September 24, 2023, will be an agenda item along with any new business that may come before the meeting.
When the second Crabapple school building was built in 1882, the area’s worshiping families met in it until the St. John Lutheran Church building was built in 1897. Worship services were discontinued in 1962. The Association was organized in 1963, and Annual Homecoming Worship Services and Celebrations have been held since 1977 on the fourth Sunday of September in Crabapple.
All former members of the St. John Lutheran Church and/ or their descendents, prospective new members, friends, and neighbors are cordially invited to attend. The Association welcomes new members.
The annual dues for Year 2023 ($5.00 per couple or $3.00 for one person) may be paid at the meeting or they may be mailed to St. John LCAC Treasurer, Denise Schneider Hawkins, 191 Schneider-Moellering Rd, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624.
Anyone who would like to rent the St. John Lutheran Church and/or Sunday School Building for weddings or family reunions is asked to call 210-912-5783.
