Rotarians listened on Thursday, April 27th, to a history of the San Saba ISD tennis program. Math teacher and tennis coach Ralph Cox recounted the development of the successful local program which has had phenomenal state, regional, and local success.
Cox, who began his teaching career in San Saba in 1982, is a 1964 graduate of Texas Tech. He later obtained his Master's Degree from Tech in 1969. He taught in Lubbock and Pecos schools before coming to San Saba and has taught and coached in San Saba for 32 years. He has documented the program's success with pictures and news stories of students' winning throughout the State.
International, State, and local Rotary organizations all work to foster student success both academically and athletically. San Saba Rotarians congratulate Coach Cox and the San Saba ISD on their success in tennis!
