I love my cell phone and use it a lot. I can make and receive calls or messages on it. I look up addresses or look up different subjects I am interested in. One thing I will not or do not want to do is hear or look at or see anything dirty or vulgar on it.
There are times the phone battery can seemingly last several days because the battery does not lose power, but there are other times it seems to be low or almost out of power. I feel like that phone battery sometimes. . .because at the end of the day, I am still refreshed but there are days or times I feel like I have no power or internal strength.
The Bible talks about this. We can do things in our own strength but there is a better way - living it in the power of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus went to heaven to be with God the Father 40 days after He arose from the grave, He promised to send us a helper (John 14:16, 15:26, 16:7). Jesus spent a lot of time in fellowship and prayer with God the Father. He called upon Him in times of need and we must do the same thing (2 Samuel 22:4, Psalm 50:15, 86:7). We must spend time in the Bible and in prayer to stay charged up (Psalms 91:15, 145:18; Philippians 4:13).
See you in Church next Sunday.
