    It was a busy weekend for the City of San Saba and Keep San Saba Beautiful (KSSB). These amazing people accomplished a lot on Friday, Saturday, and Monday to beautify San Saba and I take my hats off to them.

    On Friday, April 14th, City crews and KSSB welcomed LCRA volunteers for the Steps Forward Day Project at the golf course (more details coming). Once the project was completed at the golf course, the City guys hurried over to the courthouse to set up the tent for the cleanup.

    Early Saturday morning, the City crews and the KSSB ladies were ready for the Great American/Don’t Mess With Texas City-Wide Cleanup. They worked hard as could be seen by truckloads full of garbage, many filled trash bags, and lots of beverage bottle recycling (more details next week). Yet, they were not finished. The guys came out Monday morning to take down the tent and the ladies started planting the downtown flowerbeds. This was only three days of work. Last week, the preparation of the flowerbeds and planting of the flower planters began. Lots of preparation goes into all these projects to beautify your community and they get it done! That is why. . . “my hat is off to you.”
