They Had a Dream

This Saturday will be our nation’s 244th birthday. The founders of our country had lived for centuries under tyrannical rulers. They had little or no freedoms and had to do whatever the kings and rulers wanted.

When I was a child at home, my mom always had a Pekinese dog. Sometimes she would start howling, and he would begin to howl back. It was their way of communicating and talking to one another. I never understood a word, but I am sure they knew what the other was saying.

A July 4th Reflection

July 4th is around the corner with traditional family gatherings, barbeque outings and fireworks displays. Many will hang the flag in front of the house in the spirit of patriotism. The faith, courage and sacrifice of the founding fathers have always amazed me.

Gary Summy retires from CTTC

After 23 devoted years to CTTC, Gary Summy retired June 2, 2020. Gary started working at CTTC on June 3, 1997, as a Data Network Technician. He has held the same position throughout his employment.

San Saba News & Star staff are adoptive parents! We now have three baby barn swallows nesting outside our east front window. They are all really cute and are probably about ready to leave the nest. It certainly has been a breath of fresh air to enjoy God’s gift of nature right outside our window. .
