She Was Distressed and All Alone

She darted out in front of my car, and I slammed on the brakes, just missing her. She paid no attention, crossed on into the next lane of traffic, and was acting as if she did not even care. I closed my eyes because I could not bear to see her get run over.

A copperhead snake bit our three-year-old granddaughter, Chloe, last Friday. She was busy playing with her kittens when it struck her on the foot. The viper hid underneath a bush and painfully interrupted everyone’s life. She is home now.

San Saba Pro Rodeo will be August 21 & 22. Each performance will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Mutton bustin' for cowboys and cowgirls ages eight and under. Pro rodeo events will begin at 8:00 p.m. There will be special performances by Leon Coffee and the Concho Chicks.

Special Called Meeting - August 4, 2020 The San Saba City Council held a Special Called meeting on Tuesday, August 4th in the City Hall Chambers. Mayor Ken Jordan called the Council to order at 6:00 p.m., gave the invocation, and led in the pledges to the American flag and the Texas flag.
